The annual London reunion brought former clients together to acknowledge and celebrate their achievements in recovery with RAPt and revisit the friendships created through our programmes.
Former client Ilario and his successful business, which hires people also in recovery from addiction, catered this year’s RAPt graduate reunion, .
The day encompassed many inspiring stories of recovery, uplifting music performances and overall proof that RAPt’s work transforms lives forever.
Anika, Senior Fundraising Officer for RAPt, said: “There were things I learnt that day and phenomenal people I met, but something that resonated quite clearly was that addiction doesn’t discriminate. So many people had vast experiences with their addiction and there was only one common factor. Recovery. Recovery being one day, one month, one year… they were all part of a community that RAPt had built. I could see that each person had fought for their own recovery and they deserved it. It was inspirational.”
The RAPt graduate reunion took place on 1 October 2016 at the Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church.
